With a background in art therapy, counseling, training, and program evaluation, Katie brings a unique blend of creativity, strategy, and care to her consulting work.

I started my career as a counselor working with teens — brilliant, resilient youth who deserved more than the systems around them offered. I poured my heart into designing programs that helped them grow, and when I stepped into a role evaluating those programs, I saw what the data couldn’t always show: staff were overwhelmed, the system under-resourced, and young people still falling through the cracks.
So I shifted again — this time to train and support the people on the ground. Because real change happens through people. Through leaders who are clear, rooted, and supported.
That’s what Rose Grown Strategies is all about. Helping the folks with the fire inside — community builders, new managers, mission-driven professionals — develop the confidence, creativity, and structure to lead well and sustain their impact.
I believe leadership is personal. It’s layered and messy and brave.
